One Killer. Several gruesome murders. Two hundred miles apart.
This case is going to take two exceptional detectives to solve it. DI Lorne Warner and her husband, Tony, travel north to team up with DI Hero Nelson, on the trail of a killer randomly killing his victims in public places.
It soon becomes apparent the killer is toying with the detectives. To stay ahead of the investigation team, he changes his MO and ups his game... with a devastating outcome.
Mel Comley's latest addition to her fantastic Justice series, Heroic Justice, is without a doubt one of her best to date. Apart from the usual heart-pounding suspense we've grown to expect from this author's books, Heroic Justice brings together two formidable detectives, Lorne Warner and Hero Nelson (from the author's Hero series).
In Heroic Justice, Lorne finds herself up against a demented killer who chooses local cinemas as their hunting ground, each time, leaving behind chaos and a bloodied corpse but not one shred of evidence. With nothing linking the murder victims, Lorne and her team are left baffled, without a clue and wondering where to start their investigation.
When similar crimes are reported up in Manchester, Lorne is sure the killer has changed cities and she decides to go to Manchester in their pursuit. There she meets DI Hero Nelson of the local police and together they plan out a strategy to put a stop to this killer's bloody trail before more murders are committed. But this will prove easier said than done. The killer is shrewd and able to change tactics in the blink of an eye.
WOW! Another fast-paced action thriller that had me hooked from the terrifying prologue and kept me glued to my kindle till the end. I found myself biting my knuckles every time the killer advanced on yet another unsuspecting victim. I ended up devouring the whole book in a few hours. It was so exciting to have both these fabulous characters together on one mission. Lorne and Hero worked very well as a team, and if this was some kind of experiment, I'd like to tell the author that it was a success. I surely won't complain if the author ever decides to keep them together in a new series.
This book can be read as a standalone and includes all ingredients to keep the reader entertained from start to finish... a fast-paced, brilliant plot, nail-biting suspense, engaging characters, realistic dialogue, and twists and turns, together with a light sprinkle of romance and humour thrown in the mix from time to time for good measure. It is a fantastic, thrilling read and I highly recommend it.
New York Times, USA Today, Amazon Top 20 bestselling author, iBooks top 5 bestselling and #2 bestselling author on Barnes and Noble. Over one and a half million copies sold worldwide. I am a British author who moved to France in 2002, and that's when I turned my hobby into a career. When I'm not writing crime novels I'm either reading them or going on long walks with my rescue Labrador, Dex. I hope you enjoy reading my books, especially the Justice series.
