Holly "Bang-Bang" Kirpachi - created by Charlie Flowers
This is Holly "Bang-Bang" Kirpachi, who appears in all the books in the Riz Sabir Thrillers series. She is 23, and got her nickname aged around 12 or 13 when she shot up the inside of a mosque. She's had an interesting life- engaged to her cousin in a family arrangement when she was 7; worked for Ford as an apprentice at 13; toured the world in a burlesque theatre troupe aged 14 and ended up staying in Japan where she joined the Kyoto Yakuza; returned to Britain and joined a Muslim girl gang, and spent the rest of her teenage years deciding whether to work for British Aerospace or just jack it all in and go for burlesque.
She went for burlesque.
She's now married to her cousin, Riz Sabir, and they both work for the Ministry of Defence. They have an adopted baby girl, Maya.
My inspirations for this character were; a family friend; a dash of Amy Winehouse; and a French cartoon character called Gaston Lagaffe!
I imagine her as she is - a drawling, laconic, happy-go-lucky Essex Girl.
What do I love about her? That she's never phased by anything, always cheerful, and extremely resourceful.
What do I hate about her? That she's a vicious, murderous bitch if crossed.
Her strengths? Said resourcefulness, mechanical and electrical genius, and she was trained in pistol shooting by Todd Jarrett.
Her weaknesses? She has the attention span of a gnat and tends to stick chewing gum everywhere.
